Rivers- It was a sour experience yesterday, at about 4:pm, for commuters of East-West road, along Ahoada-Emoaha L.G.As, travelling from, and to different destinations, as an unknown armed group, suspected to be a Niger Delta militants group, ambush vehicles plying the road, and shot randomly at some of their victims. According to one of the passengers, traveling from Ado-Ekiti to Port Harcourt, with a bus with the registration number DEA 276 XA,Ekiti, the armed men waylaid them along Ahoada-Emoaha local government areas of River State. She narrates, "as our bus was going, there was a blue honda accord in our front, suddenly, the honda took a U-turn, and block our bus, before we knew what was happening, we saw a group of boys, fully armed, approaching us and started shooting bus. Our driver made a U-turn too, and drove back, but for the quick intervention of some mobile police, we don't know what would have happen" on contacting the driver on phone, he said the culprits are fond of unleashing terror on road users around that environment, since the rise of Niger Delta militancy, this year.
