A baby was born with his intestines and bladder outside of his body.
Jack Hearne was wrapped in a kitchen cling film, seconds after he was delivered naturally, to break any chance of infection and keep his organs close to his body.
The birth defect is called gastroschisis which means he was born with two of his vital organs on the outside as his abdomen failed to form properly.
Jack is finally home with his parents, Orla and Brian, and older sister Ella, in Waterford, Ireland after four months.
Jack had had his first operation where surgeons were able to put two thirds of his organs back into his stomach.
A bag hung above his stomach,carried the rest of the intestines as the doctors hoped that they would fall back into place.
A second operation the following morning made that possible.
Thank God for Jack.
