Thank you my people!
On Tuesday, I took advantage of being in Akwa Ibom State for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congress to go to a commercial bank along Abak Road in Uyo to obtain my bank verification number (BVN).
On sighting me entering the bank, words went round the Neighbourhood that their former Governor was around in the bank.
Within 40 minutes of my transaction in the bank a crowd of supporters had milled around the bank waiting to see me.
Upon coming out of the bank, the crowd became uncontrollable as they surge forward and insisted they must have handshakes with me.
It took a combined team of security agencies to calm the now restive crowd for them to see me. They erupted in wild jubilation when I stepped out of the bank to wave at them and assure them of my commitment for the betterment of their lives.
I'm always humbled by this show of love and appreciation by my people about one year after leaving office as their Governor. I thank them immensely for their support.
